Republic of Serbia-Republic of Srpska Parliamentary Forum has been constituted

The Republic of Srpska-Republic of Serbia Parliamentary Forum has been constituted today in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. The Rules of Procedure on its work have been adopted.

The co-chairmen, Igor Zunic, and Dusan Maric, have chaired the Session.

At the beginning of the Session, the members of the Forum were addressed by the president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandic, who stressed that this Forum had been constituted following legal procedures and wished all his members happy work and successful cooperation.

The member of the Parliamentary Forum, MP in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Milimir Vujadinovic that tomorrow will be exactly 17 years from the verification of the Agreement on Special and Parallel relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska which foresees this kind of cooperation which finally has happened.

He stressed that the Serbia-Srpska Parliamentary Forum was not aimed against anyone and that this cooperation and that this cooperation is to the benefit of everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

“The aim of all of this is calming tensions and cooperation for the benefit of all in BiH and the entire region. “

It was foreseen that the parliamentary forum meets twice a year, in the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, and that the Bureau, which coordinates the activities, consists of the presidents of the National Assembly of Srpska and Serbia, and the presidents and vice-presidents of every delegation.

The parliamentary Forum can enact declarations and decisions and deliver them to the the Council for cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, national assemblies, and governments of Srpska and Serbia.

The President of the National Assembly Dr Nenad Stevandić and the then President of the Serbian Parliament Vladimir Orlić signed on September 20 last year the Memorandum on the formation of the Republic of Serbia – Republic of Srpska Parliamentary Forum.
