President Stevandić’s congratulations on the occasion of the Day of the Veterans and 220 Years from the First Serbian Uprising

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, on behalf of the National Assembly and his behalf congratulated February 14- the Day of the veterans of the Republic of Srpska and 220 years from the First Serbian Uprising to the president of the Veterans Organisation, Radan Ostojić, and all veterans of the Republic of Srpska Army.

“The Day of the Veterans is the opportunity to remember all brave and honourable members of the Republic of Srpska Army, who gave an invaluable contribution to the formation and protection of the Republic of Srpska and in defending the interests and freedom of the Serbian people in this region, “said President Stevandić in his congratulations message.

President Stevandić noted that this is an opportunity to express gratitude and respect towards all veterans who gave their lives or body parts for the freedom of the Republic of Srpska and the right of the Serbian people to live a life worthy of a man.

Stevandić stressed that libertarian Serbian people throughout history the Serbian people aspired to freedom, truth, and justice and made enormous sacrifice.

“The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, as before, will do everything to ensure that the rights of veterans, disabled war veterans, and their families are consistently respected and regulated by law, in the best possible way." We must never forget their courage and sacrifice, thanks to which we now live in a free and democratic society," emphasized the President of the National Assembly in his congratulatory message.
