President Stevandić received in his inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandić, received Ivan Todorov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, today in Banja Luka. The meeting was also attended by the Consul General of Serbia in Banja Luka, Miloš Vujić and Deputy Ambassador Nataša Đorđević.

 President Stevandić informed Ambassador Todorov about the current political situation in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the commitment to peace and politics based on the Dayton principle of an agreement between two entities and three peoples, with respect for sovereignty and without the interference of the international community. The meeting also emphasized the role of Serbia as the main factor of stability in the region.

The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to further develop economic cooperation at the regional level, through further development and improvement of infrastructure projects. At the meeting, full support was given to the "Open Balkans" initiative, which would further develop economic cooperation and trade. On this occasion, President Stevandić and Ambassador Todorov said that the Republic of Srpska and Serbia will continue to jointly nurture economic, cultural, and spiritual ties.

President Stevandić welcomed the Serbian Ambassador and wished him a successful mandate.
