They talked with the director of the Trebinje Penitentiary Zoran Miladinović about the state of security, the conditions for serving a prison sentence and exercising the rights of convicted persons to serve a prison sentence in this institution.

The meeting discussed the maintenance of order, medical and health protection of convicts, voluntary work, and treatment of convicts.

Grahovac pointed out that the aim of the visit is to assess the situation in the penitentiary and the position of convicted persons serving prison terms.

During the interview with the convicted persons, the representatives of the Committee informed them about the work of the committee and the possibility of submitting complaints to this parliamentary working body, if they believe that their rights have been violated.

Grahovac and Ljubojevic assessed that the state of security and the conditions for serving a prison sentence are at a very satisfactory level.

Convicted persons serving their prison sentences had no complaints about their treatment in Trebinje Penitentiary.

Dunjić assessed that the state of security in Trebinje Penitentiary is at a high level, as well as in other penitentiaries in the Republic of Srpska.

"The state of security must be at the highest level, regardless of the number of convicted persons serving prison terms in penitentiaries." We are very satisfied with the situation in the Trebinje Penitentiary," said Dunjić.

The representatives of the Committee and the Assistant Minister of Justice visited the Department for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, the Detention Department, which includes a special detention unit for women, an ambulance, rooms for religious needs, and sports activities.
