Press conference of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandić: The gathering of a part of the opposition is an attempt of provocation

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nenad Stevandić, believes that the announced gathering of the opposition in front of the National Assembly represents a transparent attempt to provoke and cause conflict and disorder in order to weaken Srpska's defense.

"They decided to protest in front of the National Assembly instead of fighting against the illegal Christian Smith and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which part of the opposition does not want to comment on," Stevandić said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He added that the representatives of the institutions of Srpska legitimately suspect that the moves of the opposition were deliberately orchestrated by foreign mentors.

"The evidence for this is the fact that the opposition never requested the convening of the Collegium of the National Assembly, which decides on the date and agenda of the session of the Parliament of Srpska," pointed out Stevandić.

He reiterated that the representatives of the parliamentary majority do not violate the conclusions of the National Assembly, as claimed by the representatives of the opposition, and that this is a complete replacement of theses.

Stevandić said that the representatives of the Srpska institutions received sanctions because they protect and defend the Republic of Srpska and because they voted for the parliamentary conclusions together with the patriotic part of the opposition.

"We received sanctions because we defend and respect the Republic of Srpska, not because we serve foreign factors, as the opposition does," Stevandić emphasized.
