President Stevandic was awarded in Stanari by the Charter of meritorious citizen with a golden coat of arms for the special contribution to the development of this local community

A formal session of the Stanari Municipal Assembly was held today in Stanari on the occasion of the Municipal Day celebration, attended by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic.

On that occasion, President Stevandić was presented with the Charter of Meritorious Citizen with a Golden Coat of Arms for his special contribution to the development of this local community.

President Stevandić said that the citizens of Stanari live the best years with the current leadership of this municipality, considering the direct foreign and domestic investments that are a new health center, water supply and modernized road infrastructure for this local community.

"Everything we do should be subordinated to the expansion of kindergartens, and that is the crown of every policy, because if more children are born here, we also need more places in kindergartens. That is the best sign that a municipality is working successfully. It is a sign that people are employed in new capacities and new factories, that health care and infrastructure are solved," Stevandić told reporters.

In addition to the mayor of the municipality Radojica Ćelić and the president of the local assembly Denis Stevanović, the delegations of the Consulate General of Serbia in Banja Luka and the Embassy of Serbia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Embassy of Poland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, local councilors, the mayor of Prnjavor Darko Tomaš, representatives of the municipalities of Modriča and Topola from Serbia, representatives of the company EFT Mine and Thermal Power Station "Stanari", Doboj Police Department, clergy and other guests.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Law on the Establishment of the Municipality of Stanari at a special session on 9 September  2014.
