President Stevandic at the ceremony marking the Patron Saint of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Srpska-Saint Archangel Michail

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic attended today in Banja Luka central ceremony marking the Patron Saint of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Srpska-Saint Archangel Michail.

The commemoration was also attended by the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, a Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Minister of Interior, Sinisa Karan, as well as the ministers in the Government of Srpska Alen Seranic, Savo Minic, Danijel Egic, the representatives of the Veterans Organisation of the Republic of Srpska, and the Mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic.

President Stevandic at that occasion stated that the formation and the work of the Ministry of Interior is the foundation of the existence of the Republic of Srpska and that the most important thing is to fight for the property of the Republic of Srpska, the position of the President, and the right for independently decision making, just as the subjectivity of the MUP was preserved before.

Stevandic stressed that by defending the subjectivity of the MUP, the constitutional order was preserved, and peace in the whole BiH, because without the MUP of The Republic of Srpska no cooperation, nor any good relationships inside the country, can be guaranteed.

“As we were fighting for the MUP that it can defend all of us in the Republic of Srpska, we fight today for the existence of the Republic of Srpska and the institution of the president and the right to decide on our own,” said Stevandic to the media.

 Stevandić said that on the day of the Patron Saint of the MUP of the Republic of Srpska, there is no better message than that the Serbian people firmly stand behind their institutions and will not give in.
