President Čubrilović attended the ceremony marking the 17th anniversary of Brčko District

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović attended today in Brčko the ceremony on marking the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Čubrilović said that the Brčko District is important for Srpska due to its political and territorial continuity.
"It's nice to hear that people in the District experienced this day as their and that residents cooperate mutually and not political parties," said Čubrilović to reporters after a ceremonial academy in the Cultural Center in Brčko.

The ceremony marking the anniversary of the District for the first time attended presiding arbitrator of the Arbitration Tribunal for Brčko Clint Williamson.
Beside him, guests at the ceremonial academy, among others, were: High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Valentin Inzko, principal deputy High Representative and Brčko Supervisor Bruce Burton, Head of Delegation and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, and arbiter of the Republic of Srpska in the Arbitral tribunal for the District Siniša Karan.

Gunnar - Wigemark said that BiH has made significant steps along the path of the EU, and that the District has shown that it is committed for the EU integrations.
"I believe we will see Brčko District in full light, the District of conducted socio-economic reforms and of the results achieved in the process of European integration," said Wigemark.
