The Meeting of the Leadership of the National Assembly and the Presidents of Parliamentary Clubs with Johann Sattler

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, the leadership of the Parliament, and the presidents of the parliamentary clubs held today a consultative meeting with the Chief of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, Johann Sattler, and on that occasion talked on the process of European integrations.

President Stevandić assessed after the meeting that on the European path, the best thing would be for the Office of the High Representative to change over to the Office of the European Union, which would be some compromise in the context of de-escalation of the situation in BiH and that all parties in the agreement solve current problems.

Stevandić adds that he said at the meeting that the Republic of Srpska is a democratic society in which opinions and views are expressed freely and independently, and dialogue is conducted. At the same time, laws are passed in a democratic procedure by parliaments with the help of other institutions.

“All this is in contrast with the things illegal High Representative is doing, who imposes laws and produces crises in BiH,” said Stevandić to the media after the meeting.
