Greeting of the President of the National Assembly on the Day of the Republic: Our interest is to strengthen the Republic of Srpska

President of the National Assembly of the Republic Nedeljko Čubrilović congratulated to all citizens  the Day of the Republic and noted that this year's celebration  confirms the will and determination of organs, institutions, non-governmental organizations and citizens of the Republic on January 9, as a permanent historical and political fact, celebrates on dignified manner, accepted and supported by its citizens.

"For all Serbs, Bosnians, Croats and other citizens in the Republic of Srpska human rights and freedoms are guaranteed and protected in accordance with international standards and enjoy full national equality and protection of vital national interests. Strategic and abiding interest of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina is the need to focus attention on the development of the real sector, employment and improving the standard of our citizens. It is necessary to work on strengthening the rule of law and social justice, respect for constitutionality, legality and protection of collective and individual rights and freedoms, "said President Čubrilović.

He stressed that the future of the Republic of Srpska depends primarily on how the National Assembly and all the organs and institutions are able to exercise their constitutional, legal and other responsibilities, and how are all levels of executive, judicial and administrative authorities organized, efficient and effective.

"The development, progress and stability of the Republic of Srpska also depends on how much we have and realize the vision of the coming times, as our economic, social and political plans and projects are acceptable  and enforceable. Improving relations and cooperation is possible with all those who accept the Republic of Srpska as an equal, unique and indivisible entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the establishment of special parallel relations with neighboring countries, and agreements with states and international organizations, "said Čubrilović.

He believes that the issue of demographic policy is crucial for the Republic of Srpska and that it must be incorporated in all action plans and sectoral policies.

"Our interest is to strengthen the Republic of Srpska and that the agreement, compromise and with a lot of confidence, creates the possibility for Bosnia and Herzegovina as functional, modern and democratic state to participate in European integration," concluded the President of the National Assembly in a letter of congratulations on this occasion.
