The exhibition "25 years of the National Assembly" was opened in Mrkonjić Grad

Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Stojičić opened today in Mrkonjić Grad an exhibition of archival documents entitled "25 years of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska (1991-2016)".

"With the opening of the exhibition in Mrkonjić Grad continued marking an important jubilee when he began the process of constitution of the the Republic of Srpska, whose main goal was to preserve the political, territorial, national and spiritual identity of the Serbian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are proud to be pointed out that the Republic of Srpska was created by the political will of its people and citizens.

It is a legal, permanent political community in which creation and preservation the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska has played a significant role as the highest constitutional and legislative authority, "said Stojičić.

She pointed out that the National Assembly for 25 years anniversary adopted a series of historical and critical decisions that have had a very important role in the development and the preservation and promotion of the Republic of Srpska.

The exhibition was opened in the building of sports and cultural center "Petar Kočić", the facility where 20 and 21 July 1993, 33 Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska was held.

On this occasion Stojičić and the mayor of Mrkonjić Grad Divna Aničić solemnly revealed the memorial plaque dedicated to the event.

Aničić expressed her thankfulness to the National Assembly and the Archives of the Republic of Srpska because they ceded exhibition to municipality of Mrkonjic Grad and stressed that she is particularly proud of a plaque that will remain permanently.

Exhibition in Mrkonjić Grad will be open until December 30.
