Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs

The Committee on Constitutional Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska has held today its fourth meeting where it has determined answers to the issues for evaluating the constitutionality before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Srpska.

Answers have been determined for confirming the constitutionality of the following laws: The Law on Health Insurance, The Law on Protection of the Society from infectious diseases,  the Law on obligatory traffic insurance, the Law on Primary and Secondary education, the Law on the Budget System of the Republic of Srpska, and the Law on the rights of war veterans, war invalids and the families of the fighters died in the Defensive Patriotic War in the Republic of Srpska.

The answer of the Committee concerning all issues in question is that there is no constitutional violation and that the norms of the disputed laws are in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Srpska.

The Committee sitting has been headed by the President of the National Assembly Dr Nenad Stevandic, who is the Committee on Constitutional Affairs president.
