The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandić, met in Belgrade with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić.
The primary focus was the preparation for the upcoming Parliamentary Forum between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, scheduled for March 26 in Belgrade. This forum serves as a vital platform for strengthening institutional cooperation and maintaining regular dialogue between the two parliaments. It was agreed that ministers of culture and representatives from relevant institutions—such as the Museum of Genocide Victims—will be invited to the forum. The goal is to coordinate further steps regarding the construction of the Memorial Center for Genocide Victims in Donja Gradina and Belgrade.
Both officials expressed deep concern regarding the frequent and overt manifestations of Ustasha-Nazi ideology in the region.
They agreed to jointly inform all relevant international actors about these developments to preserve the historical truth, honor the victims, and prevent the spread of hatred.
The presidents emphasized the significance of the Parliamentary Forum as a foundation for developing stable and constructive cooperation, aimed at strengthening political dialogue and preserving peace in the region.
