President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović opened today in Prijedor exhibition of archival documents "25 years of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska 1991-2016".
He said that the Parliament in this period brought thousands of laws and adopted many decisions, resolutions and strategies.
"I hope that the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, as the highest legislative body, will met the expectations of the citizens of Srpska. I hope that we will continue with the development of democracy, as well as finding the best legal solutions for citizens and that the parliament together with the Republic will last for a long period in the future." –said Čubrilović to the press today in Prijedor, where he also met with the Mayor Milenko Đaković.
Mayor of Prijedor Milenko Đaković said that this exhibition represents remembering periods undergone by deputies of the National Assembly and people in Srpska.
"I believe that the Parliament will continue to function in the same way and that it will defend the interests of the Serbian people and that we will live together in peace," added Đaković.
The authors of the exhibition are the director of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska Bojan Stojnić and experts of this institution Verica Stošić and Goran Đuran.
Stojnić said that, after Banja Luka and Pale, citizens of Prijedor have the opportunity to see a brief history of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska through 31 boards and illustrated catalog containing the most important documents, photographs and newspaper articles.
"The exhibition is divided into thematic and chronological order, since the first multiparty elections in BiH in 1990, through the establishment of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska to parlament's convocations, from the first to the ninth, elected in October 2014," said Stojnić.
The exhibition "25 years of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska 1991-2016" was opened in the lobby of Theatre Prijedor and will be set up till November 29th.
