President Čubrilović and Ambassador Koc on strengthening economic cooperation

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH, HE Haldun Koc with whom he discussed the strengthening of economic cooperation.

Ambassador Koc particularly stressed that the Republic of Turkey is interested in projects that lead to the development of the entire BiH, recalling the earlier activities of the Agency for the development of Turkey's TIKA in the Republic of Srpska as a project of rehabilitation of the flood zone in Bijeljina and reconstruction of Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad.

President Čubrilović wished successful mandate to the Turkish ambassador and expressed hope that the good cooperation with the institutions of the Republic of Srpska will be continued.
"Real sector - industry and economy must come to the forefront and be the guiding policy, not vice versa. The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska certainly will, through legal solutions support this cooperation and concrete projects that are agreed with the ministries in the Government," said President Čubrilović.

He expressed appreciation for the help that Turkey has offered to the Republic of Srpska during big floods in 2014.

The interlocutors agreed that in the forthcoming period it is necessary to strengthen commercial and economic cooperation in particular through projects creating new and strengthening economic capacities.
The meeting was attended by the director of the branch office of the Turkish state "Ziraat Bank" in Banja Luka, Željko Katić who announced the opening of the office of the bank in Doboj, Prijedor and Bijeljina.
