President Čubrilović talked with the ambassador of Israel in Bosnia and Herzegovina

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović, spoke today in Banja Luka with Israel's non-resident Ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina Boaz Rodkin.

Čubrilović said that the National Assembly is unequivocally committed to stability in the region, the development of bilateral cooperation and progress towards European integration.

The interlocuters noted that the people in Srpska and Jewish people share similar tragic experiences of the Second World War and the suffering in the former Independent Croatian State, especially in the Jasenovac concentration camp system in which genocide was committed against Serbs, Jews, Roma and others.

President of the Srpska Parliament and the Israeli ambassador agreed that it is necessary to foster good relations between the Republic of Srpska and Israel, especially in the fields of economy, agriculture and communication technologies.

Israeli Ambassador invited the President Čubrilović to visit Israeli parliament with the aim of improving inter-parliamentary cooperation and the exchange of best practice.

Čubrilović and Israeli Ambassador exchanged views on the current political issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the entire Balkans.
