Swedish Military Academy students visiting the National Assembly

Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nebojsa Zgonjanin welcomed the students of the Swedish military academy, who are visiting the National Assembly for the sixth time within a framework of their visit to BiH.

„We are young democracy with high aspirations for a progress. As a democracy you are very attractive for us and we respect your democracy and your country. We can say that your country is a perfect model“said Zgonjanin expressing his pleasure.

Deputy Secretary General Boro Blagojevic talked to the students about the events from the beginning of 1990s and the former Yugoslavia until now.

He emphasized that the Dayton Peace Agreement resolved numerous political issues and constituted BiH as a state of two equal entities and three constituent peoples whose rights were fully protected.

He explained the method of election of delegates from the Republic of Srpska to both houses of the Parliament of BiH, as well as the method of election of judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the institute for the protection of vital national interest.

Adviser of the President of the National Assembly of Republic of Srpska Srpska Matej Savić spoke to the students from Sweden about the specifics of the internal organization of BiH and the competences of the entities.
