"Dear Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Vyacheslav Serafimovich Makarov,
Dear Governors, Alexandre Dmitrievich Beglov,
Honorable President of the Federation Council, Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko,
Honorable Members and other senior officials,
I have the utmost honor and great pleasure to be able to address you on behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, and congratulate you on the anniversary of the 25th anniversary of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. I convey to you sincere congratulations from the leadership and citizens of the Republic of Srpska.
It is my pleasure to say that here, before you, the deputies and officials of St. Petersburg, as well as elsewhere in the fraternal Russian Federation, we do not have to explain how important the existence of the Republic of Srpska is for the survival of the Serb people within Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Twenty-five years of successful work of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, as the highest representative body of the northern Russian capital, and within a large and powerful state such as the Russian Federation, is important for all citizens living in the guberniya of St. Petersburg. We sincerely look forward to all your successes and wish you even better results in the future.
It is important to us that our citizens benefit from our friendly relations and mutual visits. Excellent relations have been established, not only between our assemblies, but also between the cities of Banja Luka and St. Petersburg, and especially in the fields of science, education, culture, arts, health and other fields of activity. Just a few days ago, at the Clinical University Center in Banja Luka, doctors from both cities jointly successfully performed several very complex surgeries.
Republic of Srpska and St. Petersburg are not only connected at the level of official government representatives. It is an example of successful relations between fraternal peoples - Russian and Serbian - and there is nothing more natural than mutual respect and cooperation in all areas of life.
I sincerely congratulate you on the anniversary of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly and wish you much success in your future work.
I look forward to seeing you soon in Banja Luka!
Thank you, dear friends, for the hospitality and attention you have given us! Cheers! ".
