Milan Petković was born in 1984 in Banja Luka.
He finished elementary school and gymnasium in Srbac. He finished Faculty of Law in Banja Luka and passed bar exam in Sarajevo. During the period 2011-2015 he was working in the lawyer office Mirko Dabić. He passed lawyer exam in 2015 and since then he owns his lawyer office in Banja Luka.
As student he was engaged in the following jobs: a student Vice- Dean on the Faculty of Law in Banja Luka, president of the Student's Union of the Republic of Srpska and the member of the Europen students union. In the years 2004 and 2006 he was the winner of the contest in rhetoric on the Faculty of Law in Banja Luka. He was also external member of the Committee on children, youth and sport of the National Assembly. He is also the member of the Republican Commission for the Referendum on the Day of the Republic of Srpska.
He is politically active since May 2017, and is positioned as the vice-president of the United Srpska and the head of the City Council of the United Srpska Banja Luka. On the General elections in BiH, 2018, he was elected as the MP in the National Assembly. He lives in Banja Luka, married and a father of one child. He speaks English language.
