The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandić, attended today the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the crimes against Serbian civilians and soldiers in Bjelovac near Bratunac.

On that occasion, President Stevandić attended the memorial service for 109 Serbian civilians and soldiers from Bjelovc, 68 of whom were killed on December 14, 1992, in the Church of the Holy Prophet Ilija.

Stevandić, together with the families and representatives of organizations stemming from the Defensive Patriotic War, laid flowers at the memorial plaque and lit candles.

"Unfortunately, we Serbs are used to visiting the execution sites and honoring the victims whose suffering no one was responsible for." In addition, we can send messages of reconciliation and a desire to establish relationships that are not based on revenge or on plans that would bring some future generations into conflict. In Bjelovac, no one was spared, neither women nor children, and we will continue to insist that the discrimination against Serbian victims stops," said Stevandić on that occasion.

The President of the National Assembly said that the Serbian people have never had a problem paying respect to other victims, which is not the case when it comes to other nations, and that full reconciliation is only possible when the Serbian victims receive the same status as all other victims of the tragic conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina. .
