Stevandic: Operativity and seriousness of the National Assembly, new Government of Srpska will be elected on December 21st

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandic, stated that today National Assembly has shown its seriousness and operativity, by determining the date and Draft Agenda of the two Extraordinary Sessions, one hour after the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska has been formed. He also said that he expects the new Government of the Republic of Srpska to be formed by the end of the year.

“I would like to express pleasure with the fact that the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska has been also formed, and with that, we have all formal conditions for scheduling the sessions of the National Assembly. We scheduled two extraordinary sessions on the Collegium, Third and Fourth, for Wednesday, 21 December”, stated President Stevandic to the journalists after the meeting of the Collegium.

President Stevandic said that on the Third Session, the President of the Government of the Republic of Srpska will be elected and his cabinet and that solemn oaths will be taken after that. Following this, Fourth Extraordinary Session should begin, where the working bodies of the National Assembly should be elected.

“We hope that this would be a ceremonial act and expect a lot of guests. On the Collegium, we also agreed to call out invitations for the accreditation of organizations of special interest that will attend the sessions of the National Assembly.
