Stevandić and Orlić agreed on the formation of the parliamentary forum "Serbia and the Republic of Srpska"

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic talked today in the Administrative Centre of the Government of the Republic of Srpska with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Orlic on the actual political situation in the region and on the strengthening of the bilateral relations between the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia.

At the meeting, it was agreed to establish a parliamentary forum "Serbia and the Republic of Srpska", which will be signed in September in Belgrade.

President Stevandic and President Orlic stressed the importance of strengthening the political dialogue between the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia.

President Orlic confirmed full support of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Srpska in accordance with the Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations.

At the meeting, crucial regional and international challenges were discussed. Both presidents expressed the will for the common resolution of these challenges, and also support peace and stability in the region. 

Stevandic and Orlic expressed mutual support for the principles of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Additional support for the strengthening of economic cooperation and the formation of favorable conditions for investments has been agreed upon at the meeting.

President Orlic highlighted the support for the projects in the Republic of Srpska that would contribute to the economic progress of the Republic of Srpska and the whole region.

Talking about common projects, it was stressed that prior infrastructural projects would additionally connect the two countries and that is necessary to stop political obstructions which paralyze capital investments.
