The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, stated today, after the Meeting of the Collegium, that the Fifth Special Session of the National Assembly is a continuation of the regular activities and work of the Assembly, considering that numerous laws will be considered, and that the session of the Parliament itself will be preceded by the meetings of the Assembly‘Committees, which were constituted at the Fourth Special Session.

Stevandić said that the agenda and schedule of the session were adopted unanimously, and the Fifth Special Session will be held on Tuesday, December 27, starting at 10 a.m.

Stevandić said that at the session of the Collegium, two more agenda items were added to the proposed 27 agenda items of the Fifth Special Session, at the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, so the next session will have 29 agenda items. The President of the National Assembly said that the sixteen items on the agenda will be considered in an urgent procedure, considering that these legal solutions will come into force already on January 1, 2023.

Stevandić pointed out that the Collegium adopted the decision to send a letter to all clubs of MPs and secretaries of Committees and Commissions of the National Assembly with the request that for all important laws that are adopted at the BiH level, the opinion of the competent working bodies of the National Assembly should be obtained beforehand.

Stevandić emphasized that this gives legitimacy to the Assembly that without its decisions and the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, acts cannot be considered in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

"We want to bring the positions of the position and the opposition together and find a common line that is not related to political disagreements." In this way, they would have a unique consideration of the facts concerning the Republic of Srpska, which are above political, party, and other positions," said Stevandić.

Speaking about the resignation of Dada Dogan from the post of Minister of Family, Youth, and Sports of the Republic of Srpska, Stevandic said that the National Assembly voted on the composition of the Government in accordance with the information available at that time.

Stevandić believes that the actions of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, and the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, when it comes to this case, are proof that the institutions work with authority, and that the seriousness of those who will be part of the Government has been shown.
