President Čubrilović: Srpska will continue to celebrate the Day of the Republic; the parliament will prepare an adequate response

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović said that January 9 will continue to be celebrated in the Republic of Srpska and announced that Parliament will soon find an adequate response to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

On the occasion of the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina challenging the Law on the Day of the Republic of Srpska, President Čubrilović assessed that the decision of the Constitutional Court refutes the work of this judicial institution, which seeks to evaluate historical facts such as January 9th.

"The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, when it receives a court decision and sees what it is all about, will find an adequate answer and will give adequate respond, respecting the decision of the court," said President Čubrilović.

The BiH Constitutional Court disputed the Law on the Day of the Republic of Srpska - 9 January, considering a request for the assessment of the constitutionality of the Day of the Republic of Srpska, which in January last year submitted nine delegates of Bosniaks and Croats to the Council of Peoples of Srpska.
