President Čubrilović at a gathering of Srpska and Serbian businessmen in Novi Sad: Economy in the first place

The Republic of Srpska delegation, led by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović, attended today a gathering of businessmen from Srpska and Serbia, within the framework of the Days of Srpska in Serbia, in the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Novi Sad, where economic potentials of Srpska were presented.

Beside President Čubrilović, the delegation of Republika Srpska also included Minister of Health and Social Welfare Dragan Bogdanić and Minister of Education and Culture Dane Malešević, Director of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia Mlađen Cicović and President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska Borko Đurić.

President of the National Assembly of Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović said at the meeting that economic cooperation is the basis for overall cooperation between Srpska and Serbia.

"Serbia and Republic of Srpska can achieve sports, cultural, as well as any other cooperation, but if there is no economic, then it is difficult to achieve all the other," said President Čubrilović.

The President of the National Assembly stressed that it was necessary for the legislative and executive authorities to create conditions in order to better realize the economic cooperation between Srpska and Serbia.

"On the other hand, the task of businessmen of Serbia and Srpska is to increase the way they are competitive in the third market, such as the Western Balkans," said Čubrilović.

President of the Parliament of the Republic of Srpska expressed the hope that businessmen from both sides of the river Drina have the potential and economic power to realize cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Serbia in their domain.

"What is up to the legislative and executive authorities is that we will surely react to the proposals of the businessmen and in accordance with this, make appropriate legal solutions," said Čubrilović.

President Čubrilović stressed that Republic of Srpska and Serbia must create conditions for economically sustainable area.

"It is not just about expressing love towards each other, but we must create the conditions for an economically tenable area that will be desirable for life on both sides of the Drina River. Our citizens, on the basis of these potentials, should create their future," said Čubrilović.

The manifestation of cultural, economic and tourist character "Days of Srpska in Serbia", which began on September 15 in Belgrade's National Theater, will be completed on Thursday, September 21st.
