The data presented today by Centers for Civil Initiatives that session of the National Assembly were not held for three months is statistically correct, but it is also true that the National Assembly by the Rules of Procedure, this year, as well as all previous ones, had a summer recess in july and august, and that did not convene in september because of the election campaign.

The National Assembly under Article 114 of the Rules of Procedure sits in the periods from september 1st  to december 23rd and from january 22nd to july 20th,  while outside these periods sessions are not held.
In addition to this, National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska did not ever convene in time of the election campaign, as was the case in september this year.

When it comes to the Program of work of the National Assembly we want to emphasize that it was adopted at the beginning of the year in accordance with the Rules.
The National Assembly will implement the planned Program of work by the end of the year. As the Regular Session scheduled for december 6th is concerned, 23 agenda items are planned and the National Assembly has no legislative proposals waiting for adoption.

When it comes to the CCI's assertation that National Assembly has not yet adopted a code of conduct of MPs, nor the planned Program of work, we want to emphasize that the President of the National Assembly held on to heads of all parliamentary clubs at the last meeting of the Collegium, held on November 11th , a draft version of the final decision on amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly and the code of conduct of deputies.
Code of conduct together with amendments to the Rules of Procedure will be on the agenda of Parliament at the moment when the caucuses in the National Assembly agree on.
