Jorgić: National Assembly completely supports the OSCE activities

Deputy Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dubravko Jorgić spoke today at the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka with the representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in BiH on the plan of activities of the OSCE this year with a focus on the following areas: support for reform in the process of European integration, support the fight against corruption and the promotion of tolerance and the fight against hatred.

Jorgić said that the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska gives full support to these activities of the OSCE.
"The goal is to, in cooperation with the OSCE, to establish good parliamentary cooperation in the country and improve the organization of joint activities in the thematic round tables and conferences involving representatives of the working bodies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and other parliaments in BiH. Of course, we have always been committed to strengthening regional parliamentary cooperation,” said Jorgić.

Ljiljana Perkušić, head of the Department for democratic governance in the OSCE's main office in Sarajevo, said that the focus of the activities of the OSCE is the support to the process of European integration and the fight against corruption and the fight against hate and intolerance.

Nada Glišić, officer for parliaments support in the OSCE's field office in Banja Luka, said that the aim is to increase activity of the working bodies of all parliaments in the country, and to organize several thematic roundtables and conferences in these areas of society.
