On the occasion of august the 30th, the International day of missing persons, President of the National Asssembly of the Republic of Srpaka Nedeljko Čubrilović appealed on all institutions and organs to finally accelerate the process of searching for missing persons.

In his written announcement President Čubrilović supported the efforts of the Republic organization of families of imprisoned veterans and missing civils, Republic veteran organization and other organizations which came out of the defending homeland war. He also said that on the occasion of this day all of them should remind the public about this great problem and about the importance of illuminating the destinies of people who are considered missing for more than 20 years.

He believes it is imperative to cancel the recently illegally conducted competition for the election of members of the Collegium of Directors of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH and this institution, or to return  within the framework of the law or the process of searching for the missing persons to be returned to the competence of the Entities.

"Dissatisfaction with the process of searching for missing Serbs in BiH and the identification of serb victims of war expressed by NGOs should be taken very seriously and done everything to speed up the process. Institutions owe it to people who for over 20 years do not know the destiny of their loved ones, nor can they bury them worthily," said Čubrilović.
